Scaling: Innovation’s Missing Middle

There is an unprecedented level of commitment and investment in innovation.  However, there is a growing sense that a systemic problem exists with our ability to scale successful innovations. This creates a need to address the neglected elements of the innovation lifecycle that lie between the conclusion of a pilot program and the ultimate wide scale operation of an established program. This paper discusses innovation's "missing middle."
