Jackie McPherson

CAP-TB Chief of Party
Regional Director, FHI 360 APRO

Jackie is Regional Director of FHI’s Asia Pacific Regional Office in Bangkok and the Chief of Party for the USAID CAP-TB project. She previously served as FHI’s Country Director for Nepal. A specialist in in behavior change communication and qualitative research, Jackie has also worked in the administration of MPH programs. Jackie speaks English, Nepali, Armenian, and basic Thai.

Prabesh Aryal

Finance & Administration Manager, FHI 360 Papua New Guinea

Prabesh Aryal is the current Finance and Administrative Manager at FHI 360 Papua New Guinea Country Office and oversees finance, contracts, administration, and HR. Prabesh has over twenty years of relevant work experience. Since 2006, Prabesh has been working with FHI 360 and has extensive experience in developing country program strategies, business plans, operational plans, and budgets. He also has technical expertise in project management, contract management, finance, audit, HR, and logistics management. He has made several international presentations on project management and holds several professional memberships. Mr. Aryal has also received the "Global Employee Award of Excellence 2007” from FHI 360 Headquarters.

Lauren Bader

Regional Program Manager, CAP-TB

Lauren is the Regional Program Manager for the USAID CAP-TB project. She has 10 years of experience in international development and public health. She previously worked as a research associate at FHI, and has experience in international project management and program development in Asia, sub-Saharan Africa, and the United States. 

Li Ling

Country Program Manager
Kunming, China

Li Ling has worked in public health in China for eighteen years, focusing on HIV and tuberculosis prevention, treatment and care. She was born in Kunming City, which is well known as the “Spring City” -- The temperature is always pleasant no matter when you visit. Before she became the China program manager for CAP-TB, she was a senior technical officer focusing on Behavior Change Communication, HIV Testing, and counseling. Li Ling has a son, 18, and she loves dogs.

Charles Xu Zhixiang

Program Officer
Kunming, China

Charles, Zhixiang Xu, has more than ten years' experience in community-based development projects, mostly focusing on HIV/AIDS among at-risk populations such as female sex workers, men who have sex with men, and PLHIV. He believes that communities have the capacity to respond and change to improve our lives. Charles is interested in issues of gender and sexuality. He is a gourmand and a chef who loves cooking Southeast Asian food.

Anny Xinru Zhao

Program Officer
Kunming, China

Anny, Xinru Zhao, has a special interest in HIV & AIDS. Prior to joining FHI, Anny worked extensively in all aspects of harm reduction, especially in the control of HIV from illicit drug use. She has worked in program management and cross-border engagement with government health practitioners, INGOs and NGOs in Southeast Asian countries. Anny also has experience in advocacy and working with communities of people living with HIV to develop self-help and support networks in Yunnan. She will now use her expertise from the HIV world to enrich our TB team.

Wang Kai

Monitoring & Evaluation Officer
Kunming, China

Wang Kai has worked in monitoring and evaluation in public health for six years. He has conducted quantitative and qualitative research, is experienced in running management information systems, and is interested in applying strategic information as evidence for program decisions. Wang Kai enjoys watching drama and movies, playing Mahjong with friends, traveling, and raising dogs.

Ge Ya

Finance and Admin Officer
Kunming, China

Ge Ya has 11 years of experience working for international NGOs and foreign companies in financial management,  contract management, procurement, HR, and office operations. Before joining CAP-TB, she served for the Yunnan Environmental Development and Poverty Reduction Program, funded by DFID, and the IMPACT program, funded by USAID. Ge Ya greatly enjoys NGO work and is excited to devote herself to the field. She has many broad interests, including cooking, reading, and dancing.

Xiaoyan Chen

Admin and Finance Assistant

Chen Xiaoyan has nearly three years of experience working on CAP-TB as a Finance and Administrative assistant. She was a teacher before joining FHI360 and regretted not having met NGO work earlier. She is willing to put herself in other’s place to support the team better.


Veena (May) Cute-ngarmpring

Senior Program Officer, CAP-TB

Veena has nearly ten years of experience working with local and international organizations with area of expertise on Public Private Partnership, Corporate Social Responsibility and Social Enterprises.  Her last position was a Program Manager: Research and Innovation for the USAID Civil Society Partnerships Project at the Center for Civil Society and Nonprofit Management, Thailand. Joining the CAP-TB team, she believes that health issue is crucial to economic and social well-being.

Mayuree (Lek) Jenchiewchan

Senior Finance Officer, Operations Management

Francil Kaemala

Program Officer, CAP-TB Papua New Guinea

Francil is a Health Extension Officer with over 6 years of experience on susceptible TB in PNG as a Clinician and then transitioned to program coordination. She is now a Program Officer for CAP-TB PNG. She is married and has a beautiful 3 year old son.

Zhong Li

Senior Program Officer, CAP-TB

Zhong Li is a public health project manager with over 12 years of experience in managing and implementing health care projects with focus on model development for HIV/AIDS prevention, care, support, and treatment, and HIV and tuberculosis clinical trials, as well as experience in project proposal development, clinical trial monitoring, site management, contraceptives study, and community engagement. Before joining FHI 360, Zhong Li worked in the pharmaceutical industry, where she gained knowledge and developed skills in drug research & development.


Phayvieng (Chou) Philakone

Program Manager, CAP-TB Laos

Phayvieng Philakone (Chou) is a Program Coordinator/Country Coordinator in Laos. She started with FHI360 back in 2003 as a Program Officer for HIV intervention Program among Female Sex Worker. During the 2003-2011, Chou had multiple responsibilities, including behavioral change communication, managing the relationship with implementing partners, managing the sub agreement, M&E and ensure the smooth operation of FHI360 Lao Office.  From 2011 to current, Chou provides coordination support for the implementation of Neglected Tropical Disease (NTD) and LINKAGES project. Chou has her favorite song to sing when coping with stress or pressure dealing with government partners – and one day in her retirement she has a dream to go to The Voice to sing this favorite song

Lisa Stevens

Scientist, Global Health, Population and Nutrition (GHPN)

Lisa brings eighteen years of global experience in infectious disease, primarily TB and HIV to the CAP-TB team. She is passionate about providing quality prevention, treatment and care to those struggling for access. Although originally from California, she has lived outside of the US for all of this century calling Botswana, Nepal, Bangladesh and now Thailand home. Her greatest achievements are her two amazing daughters.

Duanne Punpiputt

Country Program Manager
Bangkok, Thailand

Duanne has 10 years of experience in health and development programming, mainly related to sexual and reproductive health and rights, as well as Avian Influenza. Travelling and exercise have been an important part of Duanne’s life, and have provided motivation and built stamina that enable her to perform better at work and in life.
